Tomorrow, unions from around the country will be holding rallies to support our collective bargaining rights. These rallies are being held because the Supreme Court will hear a case on Monday, Janus v. AFSCME, that would allow public sector workers to free ride, meaning they get the benefits of the union without paying dues. Simply put, this is an attack on labor and an attempt to weaken our power to collectively bargain on your behalf. While it would only effect public sector unions, it is only a matter of time before they come after us. Below I have listed the rallies that are happening in our area. If you can not make the ones on Saturday, Pittsburgh will be hosting a rally on Monday at 8:00 AM. I encourage all of our members to attend one of these rallies and let these anti-union forces know that we are sticking together and sticking with our unions.
