Meetings between Union leadership and management were held on November 29th and 30th. At these meetings, management made an offer for a Voluntary Severance Package. After discussion, we anticipate management to provide a revised V.S.P. to the Union early next week. (12-4-17).
The next steps are as follows:
- The Union expects to receive a written proposal per our discussions during the meetings.
- We will review the proposal and react accordingly. This may require addition meetings with the company.
- After the proposal is finalized, meetings will be scheduled with affected members ASAP.
I hope to have an update posted next week to report the status and possible meeting dates.
